Cookbook

Ingredients

  • 250 g Selecta® wheat flour
  • 250 g of water
  • 1 teaspoon of salt (about 8 grams)
  • Sugar and cinnamon for sprinkling
  • Mild olive oil for frying or sunflower oil
  • Kitchen paper towels
  • A manual churrera or a pastry bag with a fine tip

Preparation

  • In a pot, heat the water with the salt. When it begins to boil, add the Selecta® wheat flour directly. Using a wooden spoon, mix the flour into the water until you have a fairly firm dough.
  • Using a pastry bag fitted with a star-shaped tip, pipe the batter and shape the raw churros into portions on a kitchen towel.
  • Heat a skillet with plenty of oil.
  • Once it's hot, add the dough portions to fry.
  • Cook over medium heat to prevent the churros from remaining undercooked inside.
  • Once fried, remove them to a tray lined with paper towels to absorb the excess oil.
  • We serve them sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon to taste.
